Pope Francis has signed the decree that recognizes him as '<strong><em>venerable<\/em><\/strong>.' This means that the <strong>Church recognizes the exemplary life and heroic virtues he lived<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His <strong>process began in 2003<\/strong>, and is approaching a decisive moment. In order to be beatified, it is necessary that a miracle be produced, attributed to his intercession. Currently, two possible cases are being studied.<\/p>\n<p>If John Paul I is beatified, <strong>there would be five twentieth-century popes recognized for their life as an example to others<\/strong>.
