Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk returned to the Vatican, three weeks after the canonization of John Paul II. He met with Pope Francis on Monday morning at the Apostolic Palace.<\/p>\n
During their 15-minute meeting, the two leaders discussed the impact of the canonization on the Polish people, as well as the Pope's planned visit for WYD 2016 in Krakow.<\/p>\n
As many other world leaders that opted for simple gifts, Tusk gave the Pope a tea set, as well as a basket with traditional Polish foods. In return, the Pope gave the prime minister a pen. ;<\/p>\n
Poland's head of government traveled to Italy to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Montecassino, which led to the Allied capture of Rome in 1944.<\/p>\n
