Millions of people will be tuning in to see the World Cup final this Sunday, when Argentina faces off against Germany. ;In light of the big day, the Vatican is launching a campaign for peace. It hopes a few moments will be set aside, ;to remember those who live in war-torn countries. ;<\/p>\n
The Pontifical Council for Culture is taking to social media to promote the campaign titled
\n# PAUSEforPeace, as a way to remind everyone about those who face unrest and bloodshed in their countries. ;<\/p>\n
It's no secret that Pope Francis is a big soccer fan. Most recently the Vatican launched new ways to promote dialogue through sports. In fact, in September an inter-religious soccer match, backed by the Vatican is scheduled. ;

\nWith the rising power of social media, the Vatican is hoping that this small, but symbolic gesture, will make a difference and at the very least promote a healthy discussion. ;<\/p>\n
