Since the beginning of August, Christians have been targeted twice.<\/p>\n<p>The first attack carried out by Boko Haram happened during the invasion of Gwoza, a northeastern city located in Borno. According to World Watch Monitor, roughly 100 people were killed in the attack, where the majority of the population is Christian. ;<\/p>\n<p>A few days earlier, a group of armed insurgents attacked a Church in Ungwar Poppo, a town in the state of Kaduna. The attackers fired shots on parishioners who were attending Mass. A parish security guard was killed and several others were left wounded in the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the Fulani tribe claimed responsibility for the attack.
