Through a statement, Lombardi said that the Pope's off the cuff remarks referenced the spontaneous reaction one can have when feeling deeply offended. A reaction that comes when one, feels violated.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was an example, said Lombardi, to illustrate that faith is something that's deeply felt.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He then added that the Church is not indifferent to faith being mocked. But obviously, \u00a0there must be a balance and tolerance, he added, when it comes to respecting rights.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Pope on many occasions has condemned the attacks against the French magazine, adding that God should never be used as an excuse to kill.\u00a0<\/p>\n
