Persecution and displacement are part of their childhood. Often, parents struggle to feed their children.

With this in mind, the Order of Malta has launched 'Make Lent Count.' They are asking people to donate the money from a meal they skip on Friday to help children in the Middle East.

For example, a meal that costs 10 dollars would be enough to feed ten children from the Middle East. A fifteen dollar dinner could provide school meals for fifteen children.

The idea is to replace an expensive meal with something simple, like a plate of rice or vegetable soup. That would allow them to donate the cost of the normal meal to help those in need.

MPI/ATO
Make Lent Count
?
-PR
Up: FV

March 7, 2015.
