It continues to say that Christians are at risk of complete disappearance in the Middle East.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Silvano Tomasi, the Permanent Observer of Holy See to the United Nations in Geneva, said in a statement that the countries clearly wanted 'to move toward an elimination of these violations.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>More than 50 nations signed on to the statement. They represented a diverse coalition: Somalia, Iraq, Cuba, the United States, and Australia were among the signees.
