And on Palm Sunday, he shared what he will do in the coming days through a short video. Actually, he calls it a 'wee video.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Cushley said that his top priority is to make a realistic assessment of the resources available to 'create vibrant Christian communities.\u00e2?\u009d That may include consolidating some parishes.<\/p>\n<p>MSGR. LEO CUSHLEY<br \/>\nArchbishop of St. Andrews & Edinburgh<br \/>\n'How do we best respond to that mission entrusted to me by Pope Francis, to bring the joy of the Gospel to our contemporary society?\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The history of Catholicism in St. Andrews & Edinburgh dates back to at least the 10th century. \u00a0It is a rich history, but Cushley took over the archdiocese at a difficult time. His predecessor resigned after allegations of sexual misconduct emerged.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite the trouble, Cushley believes that it's possible to grow the Church in Scotland. The Scottish archbishop is going on a tour of 31 venues to share his plans for the future.<\/p>\n<p>He also released a booklet to describe the future of the archdiocese. The archbishop stressed that he will be using new and old methods of communication to discuss his plans.<\/p>\n<p>As for a timescale?
