The Pope has sent his condolences to the Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Abuna Matthias, over the murder of 30 Ethiopian Christians by Islamic State terrorists.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the terrorist organization released a video depicting the execution of 30 men. Half were beheaded and half were shot.<\/p>\n
In his message, Pope Francis expresses sorrow and dismay at the latest murder of Christians.<\/p>\n
The Pope ensured his 'closeness in prayer at the continuing martyrdom being so cruelly inflicted on Christians in Africa, the Middle East and some parts of Asia.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n
The message also says that there is no difference between Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant victims because their 'blood is one and the same in their confession of Christ.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n
Additionally, he said that people who are responsible for the safety of these areas must hear their pleas for help.<\/p>\n
