Right off the bat, he heard the cheers from the crowds, ; as he walked down the steps of the papal plane. <\/p>\n<p>Surrounded by secret service agents, the Pope was welcomed by President Obama, the first Lady and their two daughters. After greeting all the delegates, a group of school children gave the Pope a flower arrangement. <\/p>\n<p>Military personnel lined the air base, as Pope Francis walked along with President Obama, to have a private one on one meeting. <\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, there was a dark FIAT waiting for the Pope, ready to take him to the local nunciature where he will be staying. <\/p>\n<p>It was definitely the smallest car, as large SUV's and security trucks surrounded the streets to accompany Pope Francis and to make sure he was safe. <\/p>\n<p>\tKLH<br \/>\n\tCTV<br \/>\n\tJM<br \/>\n\t-BN<br \/>\n\tUP:MG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 23, 2015.
