It will mark the first time since 1999, that a Pope will meet with the president of that country.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nGiven the recent attention the country has received, especially in light of the nuclear deal, the meeting will prove that much more interesting and challenging for the Holy See.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBack in September, the Vatican issued a statement, where it welcomed the Iran agreement and greater nuclear disarmament. But since it continues to be a thorny issue on an international scale, it will surely be addressed on by the Pope and his diplomatic team.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMore than likely, the treatment of non-Muslims will also be touched on, since it\u00e2??s actually illegal for Muslims to convert to Christianity in Iran.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe fiery comments the president has said against Israel, will probably be on the discussion list as well.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nDiplomatic relations between both countries were established back in 1954.<\/p>\n<p>KLH<br \/>\n-V<br \/>\nPR<br \/>\nUP:ZS<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Novermber 13, 2015.
