Despite the cold weather, thousands of pilgrims are expected to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday is also a sad anniversary in the Pope's life. It marks 52 years since the death of his mother, Regina Maria Sivori.<\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis was one of the oldest men to ever be elected Pope. And he will become one full year older on Thursday, when he celebrates his 79th birthday. ;<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the Pope will start his weekend by opening a Holy Door for Charity.
