For safety reasons, she has asked us to pixelate her face.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tShe is currently a student in the United Kingdom. Kara was born in Pakistan, although she has been living in the UK, the rest of her family is still living in Pakistan. She is currently working with Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) on behalf of her family and other persecuted Christians in Pakistan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tKARA<br \/>\n\tPersecuted Christian from Pakistan<br \/>\n\t'The situation in Pakistan is not getting any better. It's worse and worse. It's only, I'd say, lip service of the government as well to say that we are protecting minorities. If they raise their voices their voices they are accused of blasphemy and if anyone in power in the government tries to improve their situation or speak about reforms or blasphemy law, he is assassinated. And a great example would be Salmaan Taseer and Shahbaz Bhatti.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\tThe Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), is an international catholic organization, that is dedicated to helping and tending to the needs of displaced persecuted Christians from all over the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tKARA<br \/>\n\tPersecuted Christian from Pakistan<br \/>\n\t'Every Christian. Every now and then, is put into situations where they cannot defined themselves. They cannot raise their voices because there is just no one who could, who would be listening to them.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\tToday, especially in the Middle East and parts of Africa, millions of Christians are facing discrimination, injustice, torture and death on a worldwide scale. Christians like Kara's family, who are still living in Pakistan, share the constant fear of being the latest victims of violent attacks. Hundreds of thousands are now homeless and depend on the Church for their survival.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tKARA<br \/>\n\tPersecuted Christian from Pakistan<br \/>\n\t'Now that I am working for Aid to Church in Need, I feel that there is more that I can do for them.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\tChristians make up just two percent of the population in Pakistan.
