He also prays for those affected.<\/p>\n<p>This is the message that the Vatican has transmitted for the attack committed today in the church of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, in France. The pastor, Fr. Jacques Hamel, who was 84 years old was killed, and four other people are wounded.<\/p>\n<p>Vatican spokesman, Federico Lombardi, says the Vatican is especially affected by 'the barbarous murder of a priest,' and that this 'horrific\u00e2?\u009d violence took place in a church, 'a sacred place where the love of God is announced.\u00e2?\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The Vatican also express their closeness to the Church of France, and especially to the Archdiocese of Rouen, their community and to all the French people.<\/p>\n<p>AC\/MB<br \/>\nRR<br \/>\nSV<br \/>\n-PR<br \/>\nup:JRB<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 26, 2016.
