But Pope Francis did something his predecessors did not do, he has gone to see them at the Generalate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class='paragraph'>\n<p class='paragraph'>Pope Francis told them that they cannot fulfill their mission without joy. He asked them to not let enemies rob them of it 'making them despair before the magnitude of the evils of the world and <span style='font-weight: bold;'>the misunderstandings amongst those who those who wish to do good, or replacing it with passing joys which are always at our reach.\u00e2?\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class='paragraph'>\n<p class='paragraph'>Last week they chose their new Superior General, <span style='font-weight: bold;'>Venezuelan Arturo Sosa.<\/span> Now, meetings are focusing on drafting a roadmap for the near future.
