The book, titled \u201cThe Successor,\u201d was written by Vatican journalist Javier Martinez-Brocal, collaborator and former director of Rome Reports and correspondent of the ABC Spanish newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the book, Pope Francis praises his predecessor for his ability to offer a broader perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>He had that ability to broaden the vision to help me make a good decision. He would never say, \u201cI don't agree.\u201d I do remember him saying, \u201cThis is fine.
