Pope Francis traveled to Hungary almost a year ago\u2014an international visit where he sent important political and religious messages. In Hungary, the Pope expressed his gratitude for the welcoming of Ukrainian refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Pope conveyed this same message in the Vatican to a group of pilgrims from Hungary, who he met on the occasion of the first anniversary of this apostolic journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
POPE FRANCIS Prior to this meeting, Pope Francis held a 20-minute private audience with the new president of Hungary, Tam\u00e1s Sulyok, who after meeting with the Pope, expressed on his social networks that, as a devout Catholic, it was an honor to be with the pontiff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This comes two months after his predecessor, Katalin Novak, resigned from office.
