{"id":67479,"date":"2024-04-29T18:59:02","date_gmt":"2024-04-29T16:59:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.romereports.com\/?p=67479"},"modified":"2024-04-29T18:59:03","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T16:59:03","slug":"the-two-attitudes-that-pope-francis-calls-for-in-religious-men-and-women","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.romereports.com\/en\/2024\/04\/29\/the-two-attitudes-that-pope-francis-calls-for-in-religious-men-and-women\/","title":{"rendered":"The two attitudes that Pope Francis calls for in religious men and women"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To mark the General Chapter meeting, the Sons of Charity, also known as the \u201cCanossians\u201d and the Brothers of St. Gabriel met with Pope Francis in the Apostolic Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He challenged them to utilize this meeting to recognize their past with gratitude but look towards the future with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE FRANCIS<br><\/strong><em>These are two attitudes\u2014listening and courage\u2014which require humility and faith, and which well reflect the spirit and action of St. Louis Marie and Father Deshayes, who also left you a valuable trinity as a compass for your decisions: \u201cGod alone,\u201d the \u201cCross\u201d\u2014carved into your heart\u2014and \u201cMary.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pope went on to encourage the members present to grow in harmony with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sons of Charity were founded in Venice in 1831 and include about 200 brothers and priests.
