Pope Francis once again left the Vatican. This time for an amusement park in Ostia, a suburb of Rome. Sr. Genevi\u00e8ve Jeanningros, a Little Sister of Jesus, and a group of circus performers met him at Luna Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There, the Pope blessed a statue of Our Lady Patroness of the Traveling Show and Circus, before greeting the families and children present. One boy gave the Pope a gift. Pope Francis also received an image of Mary in front of a ferris wheel before some of the performers put on a little show, even getting him involved. Sr. Genevi\u00e8ve has met with Pope Francis on several occasions. The most recent was during a General Audience in June.
