The Pope gifted her a plaque of the care of creation as well as several of his books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anita did not go alone to her visit with the Pope. She was accompanied by a large group of her family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before saying goodbye, Pope Francis said he would like to make a second visit to Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I remember my visit.<br>Thank you, I have to go a second time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pope visited Uganda in 2015. There, he thanked them for their reception of refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE FRANCIS<br><\/strong><em>Our world, caught up in wars, violence, and various forms of injustice, is witnessing an unprecedented movement of peoples. How we deal with them is a test of our humanity, our respect for human dignity, and above all our solidarity with our brothers and sisters in need.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Uganda, refugees are given land and provided with basic services. Many come from sub-Saharan Africa. In 2021 alone, Uganda gave asylum to more than one million people from countries like South Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Francis is the third pope to visit the nation, after Paul VI and John Paul II.
