However, the swelling did not prevent him from continuing his schedule, with 9 meetings on Friday, 7 on Saturday, and 3 on Sunday. Four of the events were religious or public ceremonies in front of thousands of people. The 87-year-old pontiff was noticeably tired though but remained active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
