On Sunday, the pope did not overlook the drama unfolding in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>I am close to the residents of Los Angeles County, California, where devastating fires have broken out in recent days. I pray for all of you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous day the pope sent a telegram to the archbishop of the region, Archbishop Jos\u00e9 Gomez, to also express his closeness. Gomez had left this message on social networks to ask for prayers and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
