On February 10, Pope Francis sent a letter to the U.S. bishops, stating that he is closely following the situation in the country regarding mass deportations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his message, the pontiff emphasized the need for policies that regulate migration in an orderly and legal manner, but without imposing them through force. Regarding U.S. deportation policies, the pope urged authorities to avoid equating undocumented immigrants with criminals.
