Many fled their home countries and found support through one of ten state-affiliated institutions, including the Migration and Refugee Services department of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement, the U.S. bishops expressed deep concern over the government's decision. According to the organization, this suspension not only violates U.S. laws and regulations but also goes against the nation\u2019s fundamental values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 10, Pope Francis sent a letter to the U.S. bishops, stating that he is closely following the situation in the country regarding mass deportations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his message, the pontiff emphasized the need for policies that regulate migration in an orderly and legal manner, but without imposing them through force.
