In it, it offers them a reparation process. According to what the lawyer of these five women explained to a Spanish Agency, it will be studied on a case-by-case basis.

In the letter, the Jesuit delegate general noted that Rupnik was asked to take responsibility for his actions, ask for forgiveness in public and begin a path of purification.

He further added that Rupnik refused to accept this possibility and that it was then that the Father General of the Jesuits decided to dismiss him.

For Laura Sgrò, who legally represents these five victims, the fact that the Society has sent the letter is an important step, as well as a clear, strong and concrete gesture on the part of the Jesuits.

This case is in the hands of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is headed by Cardinal Fernandez. The prefect said a few days ago that the investigations have been concluded and that judges are now being sought to begin a canonical process.

JH

X RUPNIK CASE: The @Gesuiti Company sends a letter to five #victims of the former Jesuit in which they offer them a “process of reparation”, as @LS_LauraSgro pointed out to Agencia EFE

[27
