Without this, it is reduced to a sterile competition of egos.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pope Leo also pointed out that sport has the ability to build community, to unite, and to foster physical contact in an increasingly digital world. Finally, he noted that it is a great teacher \u2014 especially when one loses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><br><em>The athlete who never makes mistakes, who never loses, does not exist.
