In 2024, this Catholic foundation sent 8.5 million euros to the country, bringing the total to around 25 million since the outbreak of the war in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The donations are allocated to various projects\u2014for example, providing spiritual and psychological support to people traumatized by the war. It also helps to sustain priests and religious workers, as well as provides for the formation of seminarians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ukraine was the county that led the list. However, regarding continents, Africa once again received the most support, with 30%. The growing spread of jihadist terrorism led the foundation tripling its aid to countries like Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Middle East also received significant support, especially after the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. It ranked as the third most aided region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout last year, around 140 million euros were raised\u2014funds that supported more than 5,000 projects worldwide.<br>CA<br>Trans.
