Everyone thought she wouldn\u2019t survive the incident.<br><br><strong>ANTONIA SALZANO<\/strong><br><em>Mother of Carlo Acutis<\/em><br><em>I met this girl\u2014a very sweet girl who clearly had barely begun to live\u2014and especially her mother, because the girl was in a coma. Well, she fell. It was a desperate situation, the accident happened at night while riding her bike. She fell into a coma, and according to the doctors, there was no hope of her waking up, and even if she did, she would be left with several disabilities.<br><br><\/em><strong>FEDERICO ZAMORA<\/strong><br><em>Ambassador of Costa Rica to the Holy See<\/em><br><em>The doctors practically declared her dead or expected her to be left with severe injuries. Her mother flew from Costa Rica to see her daughter, who was in critical condition in the hospital, in a coma. Then she remembered that her daughter and a friend had made to visit Carlo Acutis in Assisi.<br><br><\/em>Her mother didn\u2019t hesitate to make the journey from Florence to Assisi. <strong>Six days after the accident<\/strong>, on <strong>July 8<\/strong>, she arrived at Carlo Acutis\u2019s tomb. She began to pray, and this is what happened:<br><br><strong>ANTONIA SALZANO<\/strong><br><em>Mother of Carlo Acutis<\/em><br><em>She came to pray at Carlo here in Assisi because she had no other option\u2014among other things, it was her only daughter and she had no other hope. She came with great faith, spent the whole morning on her knees before Carlo\u2019s tomb, and she received this miracle.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FEDERICO ZAMORA<\/strong><br><em>Ambassador of Costa Rica to the Holy See<\/em><em><br><\/em><em>So much so that, just days later, her daughter began to breathe on her own. She started to speak\u2014she could speak again. And today, she\u2019s a recent graduate with honors from the University of Florence in Fashion. She had outstanding grades. She\u2019s a normal, beautiful, loving young woman with a bright future ahead.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the story of a mother who got her daughter back through prayer <strong>and a miracle from Carlo Acutis<\/strong>.
