The Jubilee of Hope 2025 has become one of the largest mass events to ever take place in the Eternal City.
And not only because of the number of people who participated, but also because of the magnitude of its economic impact.
According to the \u201cAnce Observatory\u201d of the University of Rome \u201cTor Vergata,\u201d the Jubilee Year generated around 17 billion euros, based on a calculation of all the factors involved in the celebration.
On the one hand, there is the economic impact of the faithful and tourists. On the other, there are the investments made by local and national authorities, as well as the funding from the European Union that Italy allocated to the Jubilee.
In total, more than 33 million pilgrims passed through the Italian capital. This led to a 5% increase in bookings for tourist accommodations compared to the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Italian capital sought to dress up for the occasion.
