The Archdiocese of Sydney and the Vatican Museums have, in a sense, transported the Sistine Chapel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through an immersive experience which runs until August, visitors to Sydney will be able to enjoy one of the greatest artistic masterpieces of the Catholic Church, which is also the hall where the College of Cardinals elect each pope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MOST REV. ANTHONY FISHER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Archbishop of Sydney, Australia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The technology has helped: it helps to bring it to far more people; it helps to allow us to see things we couldn't see with our naked eye. And I think that, because it was people of faith that have put the script together and have driven the project from start to finish, they've been very careful that it's not just all hype and commercialism, that it's actually about telling the stories of the gospel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In high definition, the digital images form a half-scale replica of the original. But this is where its uniqueness lies: details and figures that might go unnoticed in the real version become accentuated and visible for deeper appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ticket sales say enough: 20,000 tickets were bought within the first few days of the exhibitions opening. These stats were shared at a recent event in Rome, which was attended by those responsible for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DR. And I will never stop saying that.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Called 'REVELATIONS', the exhibition is more importantly a powerful tool for evangelization. It is also suitable for all audiences and goes beyond the purely spiritual sphere...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MOST REV. Some of them were very deeply into their faith, there was all sorts there and they're all just just mesmerised by what they saw.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Sydney is not the only place that will host this incredible immersive experience\u2014from Australia, the exhibition's next destination is going to be Dallas, Texas.
