In a stunning display of singing, music, fireworks, and light, the Catholic Archdiocese of Barcelona put on a breath-taking performance to commemorate Pope Leo XIV's visit to the Sagrada Familia\u2014and to honor the life and work of the architect who built the basilca, Antoni Gaudi, who died exactly 100 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seated outside with the King and Queen of Spain, Pope Leo witnessed a spectacular show. With the facade of the church completely dark, three choir boys with torches stepped outside to sing the Hosanna<\/em> in Latin. In a slow buildup that began to draw in more singers, the church's organ, an orchestra, and pulsating lights, the liturgical performance culminated with the entire church literally exploding with musical symphony, a multitude of colored lights, and fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A drone show above the basilica meanwhile shared messages in the sky above, including a portrait of Antoni Gaudi, the \u201cArchitect of God\u201d who designed the beatiful church.
