The courtyard of the Apostolic Palace at Castel Gandolfo recently became a stage for classical music. The Diocese of Albano organized a concert honoring the pope, a gesture of affection and support for him during his summer stay in the Italian town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It is truly a great gift because it reminds us that there is something better, and that when we, men and women alike, come together, we can all reveal the beauty that springs from the heart and helps us rise towards God.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Music, art and beauty are truly instruments that help us turn our gaze towards God and discover the best part of what it means to be human.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The program featured two major works from the Italian musical tradition: La Polacca<\/em> and the Libera fantasia e variazioni,<\/em> a piece inspired by one of Vincenzo Bellini's most celebrated operas.
