We are here to overcome resignation and fear, to break through the doubts that hold us back, just as they held back the Apostles. Jesus calls us to engage with Him so we can write history.<\/em><br><em>We are not alone! You've experienced that over these past few days. You've come together, listened to one another and moved from competing voices to genuine conversation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pope celebrated Mass at Saint Mary of the Angels, where St. Francis found his vocation. There, Pope Leo spoke to those who had come from across the world, inviting them to be courageous like St. Francis himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><br><em>Dear young people, today Europe, and the whole world looks to you for new saints. Dare to believe the message of the Gospel. Become fully human through the freedom of Jesus, and embrace Sister Poverty.<\/em><br>The pope explained that the meeting's theme, \u201cGo!\u201d was itself a mission. A call to set out on a road without a map. Those paths, he said, are found by listening to the heart, following the Holy Spirit and walking with the Risen Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that young people are not alone in this mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><br><em>Go! Go forth! Better yet, let's go! To the margins, where injustice and abuse of power by a few deny the dignity and dreams of so many, far too many, who are sons and daughters of God.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the end of the Mass, a young Italian, Francesco, thanked the pope for his presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FRANCESCO VARONE<\/strong><br><strong>Young participant in the Event<\/strong><br><em>Holy Father, we youth need authentic witnesses, men and women who point us to Christ with their lives, not only their words. Your voice encourages us not to be afraid to choose what is good and to believe that the Gospel can still transform the human heart.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He asked for prayers for young people, that they may have the courage to choose Christ, recognize His voice amid the noisy world, and dedicate their youth to serving others.
