POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I continue to follow with concern the tragic situation in Sudan, especially in the city of el-Obeid. In expressing my spiritual closeness to all the people of the nation, I renew my appeal to those in authority to guarantee humanitarian corridors for the civilian population. At the same time, I urge the international community to support efforts aimed at bringing about an immediate ceasefire.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The pope addressed the war between Ukraine and Russia. He called for respect for international humanitarian law and urged the protection of those who are vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We continue to receive heartbreaking reports of innocent people being killed and wounded in Ukraine and Russia.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n War only creates more war and brings immense suffering.
