And he\u2019s doing so through a powerful theme: reparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Francis first and foremost built his life upon the foundation of Christ, sharing in His poverty, joy, and sufferings, even to the point of receiving the mystical sign of the stigmata. A man of fervent prayer, filled with charity toward all, he served as an example to the first friars, who shared in his asceticism as an essential prerequisite for the reform of the Church.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark the tenth anniversary of <em>Amoris laetitia<\/em>, Pope Francis\u2019 document on love in the family, the pope is calling for the Gospel to be shared with families today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>POPE LEO XIV<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I have convened the Heads of the Eastern Catholic Churches and the Presidents of the Episcopal Conferences from around the world. It will be a time of synodal discernment, to identify the steps we must take to proclaim the Gospel today to families and the younger generations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the Angelus, the pope called for the rosary to be prayed throughout October for an end to conflicts.
