I couldn't make it on the plane because it's not allowed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alazraki also gave him alfajores, a sweet treat that Pope Francis, his predecessor, particularly enjoyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The mate is <\/em><em>a traditional drink made from yerba mate leave<\/em><em>s and is an integral part of Uruguayan social life. <\/em>A traditional symbol of friendship and camaraderie, the Pope\u2019s special mate cup features the papal coat of arms.
