Pope sends condolences to Manchester after attack

May 23, 2017. After the deadly terrorist attack at Victoria Station in Manchester, England, the pope has sent his condolences to the victims and their families.

The Vatican commission for relations with Judaism has prepared a document titled "The Gifts and the Calling of God are Irrevocable.”

Cardinal Kurt Koch, who presides over the commission, introduces these reflections about theological questions regarding Jewish-Christian relations. It was prepared with the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council declaration "Nostra aetate” in mind.

Also participating are David Rosen of the American Jewish Committee and Edward Kessler, from the Woolf Institute.
