Pope to Swiss Bishops: Make sure the Church doesn't become an NGO

After his intense trip to Turkey, Pope Francis is now back to his usual schedule. On Monday morning he met with Swiss Bishops in the Vatican. As he greeted them, the Pope said a few words in German. 

After a brief meeting, Pope Francis gave them  a written statement. In it he asked them to make sure the Church stays loyal to Herself and doesn't become an NGO, adding that the Church cannot set evangelization aside.

In the document, the Pope also explained that without a living faith in Christ, churches and monasteries may end up being museums.

Lastly, he encouraged them to reach out to all people, and highlighted that they have to look after the priests in their dioceses.
