On Sunday, June 5th, Pope Francis will canonize the Polish priest Stanislaus of Jesus and Mary and the Swedish nun Maria Elisabeth Hesselblad in St. Peter's Square.

The Blessed Stanislaus was the Founder of the Marian Fathers and a prolific writer who urged the world to contemplate God's mercy and guidance. 

The Blessed Maria Elisabeth Hesselblad of Sweden was a nurse who converted to the Catholic Church and founded a new form of life of the Bridgettines known as the Bridgettine Sisters. She continued to dedicated her life to ecumenism and the poorest.
