Philadelphia gets ready for the World Meeting of Families

The World Meeting of Families is just a few weeks away. The city of Philadelphia is getting ready to welcome millions of visitors, among them of course is Pope Francis.  With PSA's like these, the city is putting the finishing touches on years of planning.  "Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia is for all of us.â?  The Pope will be in Philadelphia from Saturday the 26th to Sunday the 27th of September, where he will celebrate Mass in the city's Benjamin Franklin parkway.  But there's a lot more that will go on before that.  The actual congress will bring in experts from all over the world, giving their expertise on issues pertaining to marriage and the family. That will run from September 22nd to the 25th in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  The city will definitely be crowded, but what exactly makes the city of Philadelphia unique?  Well, even though most people identify the city with this LOVE landmark, Philadelphia is a key city in American history. It served as one of the nation's many capitals during the Revolutionary War and after. It also served as the country's temporary national capital from 1790 to 1800 while Washington, D.C., was under construction.  When it comes to the Church, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is led by Archbishop Charles Chaput and the Archdiocese has about 1.5 million Catholics. To visit the city's main spots, from shrines and museums to shops and entertainment, there's an app, titled Go Philadelphia where users can map out the week, including following the Pope's schedule.  KLH  World Meeting of Families J -BN UpATO
