The Philippines gets ready to host the International Eucharistic Congress

Preparations are underway for the 51st International Eucharistic Congress, which will take place in the Filipino island of Cebu.  On Tuesday, the top organizers spoke to the media, in the Vatican's press office, to shed light on some of the details.  ARCH. JOSE PALMA Archbishop of Cebu, Philippines "One important consideration we had, is dialogue with the poor, marginazlied and with the youth.â? The theme is 'Christ in You, our Hope of Glory, the Eucharist, source and goal of mission.'  So far, more than 8,000 pilgrims from 57 nations have signed up, but many more are expected, especially with rapid growth of Christianity in Asia.  The 51st International Congress, which will take place in the early stages of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, will include catechism, testimonies and of course Adoration.  ARCH.
