The Pope's schedule this week will include two important trips: Strasburg and Turkey.

On Tuesday, he will address the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, the two most important bodies in the European Union.

On Monday, Pope Francis held an important meeting with the heads of the Vatican dicasteries regarding the reform of the Roman Curia. He also attended the funeral of Cardinal Fiorenzo Angelini in St. Peter's Square. During the day, he met with President Abdel Fattah al Sisi of Egypt. It is the first time in 8 years that an Egyptian president has met with a Roman Pontiff. ;

As customary, he will meet with pilgrims in St. Peter's Square for his Wednesday General Audience. ;

On Thursday, Pope Francis will meet with the Society of St. Paul which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding. ;

He will then travel on Friday to Turkey. During his 5th international trip, the Pope will visit Ankara and Istanbul. ;
