The Chosen series has premiered its fifth season with the episode titled, "The Last Supper." The premiere in Rome and the Vatican was attended by Elizabeth Tabish, the actress who plays Mary Magdalene in the production.

So everyone has very different opinions about who this woman was, and so I tried to just lean on what's said in the Gospels and also what the writers have done for the show. And they've just done a beautiful job in making her really human. And I think my favorite part of her journey is how relatable she is, that she makes mistakes, and she's trying and she doubts herself sometimes, and those are the things that I relate to.
The new season will explore the decisive moments leading up to the Passion of Christ. With meticulous production and a detailed narrative approach, the series continues its expansion, becoming a global phenomenon with millions of viewers around the world.
