Darío Gambarín, the Italian farmer known for his land art, has once again made a bold statement—this time to give Pope Leo XIV a grand welcome.
In Verona, across a vast 25,000-square-meter field, Darío used his tractor to carve out the emblem representing the new pope, accompanied by a welcome message.
The image is striking. At the center of the composition is the symbol of the Order of Saint Augustine, the religious family that Pope Leo belongs to.
Further back, as a gesture of affection, Darío also drew Pope Francis in remembrance, following his passing one month ago.
