The Jubilee of the Holy See began with this unusual image: a nun preaching to the Curia and to the Pope in person. This was how Pope Francis wanted the event to begin — and Pope Leo XIV chose to not change it.

Eternity lies before humanity, and I say this knowingly because when I was 20 years old, when my faith was still very weak and stained by many illusions of modern man, I had a near-death experience. I saw the crack of eternity open before me — and that changes your life, it changes your perspective.
Then came another unexpected image: the Pope himself led the pilgrimage of the workers of the Holy See to pass through the Holy Door and obtain the Jubilee.
After, the pontiff presided over the Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica.
POPE LEO XIV
The Holy See is holy, just as the Church is—in its original core, in the very fiber from which it is woven. In this way, the Apostolic See safeguards the holiness of its roots while also being safeguarded by them. But it is no less true that it also lives through the holiness of each of its members. For this reason, the best way to serve the Holy See is to strive to be saints, each according to their state in life and the task entrusted to them.
The new Pope has resumed all the Jubilee events approved by his predecessor, as well as the catecheses that Pope Francis began delivering every Wednesday.
