The Pope met with the clergy of the diocese of Rome. The particular clergy he met with combines local vocations with people from across the world for the sake of studying. But for both the message was the same.

I ask you with the heart of a father and a pastor: let us commit ourselves to be credible and exemplary priests. We are aware of the limits of our nature and the Lord knows us in depth; but we have received an extraordinary grace, we have been entrusted with a precious treasure of which we are ministers, servants. And the servant is asked to be faithful.
At the same time, he asked them to be priests that allow themselves to be challenged by the real problems of the society they live in.

The Lord has willed that we live precisely in this time full of challenges that, at times, seem to us to be greater than our strength. We are called to embrace these challenges, to interpret them evangelically, to live them as an opportunity to bear witness. Let us not escape them.
Pope Leo XIV also asked them to live unity within the diocese and to be good brothers to other priests.
