The Vatican Museums are one of the most visited gems in Vatican City, along with the Basilica.

In anticipation of the high number of visitors expected during the Jubilee Year, the museums have extended their opening hours to 12 hours daily, Monday through Saturday. They have also improved their system to prevent ticket scalping and improve ticket distribution.

ALBERTO ALBANESI
Vice Director of the Vatican Museums
We introduced differentiated ticketing based on time slots, which has significantly improved our ability to manage and monitor visitor flows within our museums, thereby avoiding excessive crowding within the various museum rooms.

This isn't just any other regular year. A Jubilee Year only comes around every 25 years, so they wanted to help visitors experience it in some special way.

Pilgrims of Hope is a tour we've added to the many guided tours already organized by our reception department. It's a tour designed primarily for the Jubilee Year and is more than a guided tour. It's a true journey, a journey, a journey through art and faith, with the precise aim of accompanying our faithful visitors through the two-thousand-year history of our Church, from the beginning of Christianity to the present day.

The goal of this new tour, he explains, is to guide the faithful through the works of art. The tour is open to all, in all languages, and even includes the accessibility of those with some form of mental or motor disability.
