All three relics are kept in this church in Rome, Sant’Angela Merici. They arrived here in 2021.


The interest in Carlo even reached the black market, where some attempted to auction off relics for large sums of money. The bishop of the diocese had to publicly denounce the situation at the time.

I am the one responsible, and I try to make sure everything is done properly and according to the rules. Just yesterday, I came across a relic of our Saint, authenticated by the postulator. So, it must be one that somehow came from here, from the body of the Blessed, and I found it being auctioned. Such a thing is intolerable.


Carlo’s relics have been among the most sought-after in recent months. According to the Diocese of Assisi, as of last April, more than 2,500 relics had been officially distributed around the world.
