The pope presided over the Mass that concluded the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality, with the Virgin of Fatima present. To all those gathered, he offered these words:

Marian spirituality immerses us in the story over which heaven was opened. It helps us see the proud scattered in the thoughts of their hearts, the powerful brought down from their thrones, and the rich sent away empty-handed.
At the end of the celebration, the pope once again turned his attention to the ongoing war.

In recent days, the agreement to begin the peace process has kindled a spark of hope in the Holy Land. I encourage all parties involved to continue courageously along the path toward a just and lasting peace that respects the legitimate aspirations of both the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.
Pope Leo XIV imparted his blessing to those present and greeting the faithful from his popemobile.
