The Pope will be welcomed at the entrance of the large tent by the Syriac Catholic Patriarch, the Maronite Patriarch, the Sunni Grand Imam, and the Shia Representative. From there, the Holy Father proceeds to the stage, where the other religious leaders are already gathered.
The ceremony begins with an opening chant, followed by a welcome address from the Syriac Catholic Patriarch. The Gospel is then chanted, followed by a moment of silence. This is followed by a chant from the Qur’an and the screening of a testimonial video.
Several religious leaders will then take the floor: a Sunni leader, a Greek Orthodox leader, a Shia leader, and a Syriac Orthodox leader. After another chant, a Druze leader and an Armenian Orthodox leader will speak.
The sequence continues with interventions from a Protestant leader and an Alawite leader, followed again by a chant.
Finally, the Holy Father delivers his address, after which an olive tree is planted as a sign of peace. The gathering concludes with a final peace hymn and a group photo.
