The response from the Colombian Bishops’ Conference was swift.
We consider that no public official, nor any other person, is called to issue theological judgments regarding the religious or doctrinal convictions of citizens.
In addition, the bishops recommend that, in order to avoid mistaken ideas about the figure of Jesus, people turn to the primary source: the Gospels.
